Pearson 303 boom has bend in it

Is it normal for the boom to have a slight bend in it? Or, are all booms supposed to be perfectly straight?

I would say not, but what do I know? Which way the bend? Certainly not if it's sideways.

My 303 Boom is straight. Perhaps the one you have was near a heat source, like a fire, and warped.

It curves up as if the sail pulled it against the boom vang. In fact the curve starts at the boom vang connection.
